Sky has released its new generation of Sky Glass Streaming TVs, including the Sky Glass Air.
Sleeker and more lightweight than the original Sky Glass and the Sky Glass Gen 2, the Air is also a cheaper option for customers looking for the best of Sky TV and top-end hardware in one convenient package.
The new generation of TV hardware
In 2021, Sky, the UK’s biggest premium TV provider, released the Sky Glass streaming TV. Glass was designed for customers who want to enjoy Sky’s TV packages and their favourite streaming services without messy cables or extra boxes. TV technology has advanced a lot in the last four years, and Sky has followed suit with the second generation of Sky Glass technology – the Sky Glass Gen 2 and the Sky Glass Air.
The Glass Gen 2 offers customers powerful features, including a 4K Dolby Vision® display and seven built-in speakers, including a 360º Dolby Atmos® soundbar.
However, we’re also excited about the Sky Glass Air, which offers a 4K TV powered by Sky OS for a seamless viewing experience in a more streamlined – and cheaper – package.
Both versions of the smart TV come with Sky OS, designed for Smart TVs to make finding your favourite shows easier. Skip hopping between apps, and use the unified voice search to find what you’re looking for from the homepage – or create playlists of all your favourite shows with new episodes added automatically.
How much does the Sky Glass Air cost?
The Sky Glass Gen 2 and Sky Glass Air are both available as part of your monthly Sky contract, or for a single upfront payment. Both models are available in 43-inch, 55-inch or 65-inch screen models. The three sizes of Sky Glass Air cost £309, £509 and £649 respectively. Meanwhile, the Sky Glass Gen 2 costs £699, £949, or £ 1,199.

Sky offers 0% APR financing on both models for up to 48 months, with the Sky Glass Gen 2 starting from £14 a month (£20 upfront payment) and the Air starting from just £6 a month (£20 upfront payment).
What channels can I get on Sky Glass?
Sky Glass customers can watch live Sky TV through their Sky Entertainment TV package, plus any extra channel packages they subscribe to.
